About The Wines


2013 Chardonnay $16.00 - Gorgeous fruit notes of apple and citrus balanced
by perfect acidity make for a Chardonnay bright and refreshing. Stainless
steel held with zero malolactic, the string of spectacular McFadden
Chardonnay releases continues. This wine is the better vintage version of
last year’s Double Gold Medal winner from the San Francisco Chronicle Wine
Competition, which was the top awarded Chardonnay in Mendocino County and
the top awarded unoaked Chardonnay in the nation. This wine was rated 90
points by Wine Enthusiast Magazine.

2013 Pinot Gris $16.00 – 2013 is another stellar vintage and this may be
our best Gris yet. Delicious direct notes of pear and apple mark this
always popular lighter styled release from McFadden. Pairs perfectly with
a wine glass on a sunny day, but also goes spectacularly well with a
veggie fettuccine in pesto. This wine was an Editors’ Choice and 90 point
rated wine by Wine Enthusiast Magazine.

2013 Sauvignon Blanc $16.00 - Great aromas and flavors spice, pear and
grapefruit. Refreshingly crisp. Good acid. Long, lingering finish. Pair
with shellfish, fresh goat cheese or a Caesar salad.

2013 Gewurztraminer - $16.00 - Alsace style, off dry, (not cloyingly
sweet). Gorgeously bursting spice, fruit and floral aromas lead to rich
juicy fruit apricot and nectarine flavors. Pair with lamb curry with fresh
coconut and dill cucumber salad (yum!), Asian cuisine, creamy cheeses,
crème brulees, and custard desserts. Editors’ Choice and 90 points from
Wine Enthusiast Magazine for this wine too.

2010 Riesling $18.00 - Lovely honeyed notes of spring flowers and fruit
drive this classic McFadden favorite. Layered Apricot and Honey, with oily
depth. Pairs great with a dessert of mozzarella di bufala, honey, and
fresh berries.

2011 Late Harvest Riesling $18.00 - 375 ml half bottle – 10.2% residual
sugar from 31.1 degrees brix at harvest makes this our first ever sweet
dessert wine, but not just any dessert wine, this was judged the best Late
Harvest Riesling in the nation with a Double Gold and Best of Class award
from the judges at the San Francisco Chronicle Wine Competition, awarded a
4 Star Gold Medal at the Orange County Fair Wine Competition, and earned a
Double Gold at the Mendocino County Fair Wine Competition.

2013 Riesling $18.00 – You’ll love Riesling with beautifully bright acid
providing both structure and balance for the abundant honey noted apricot,
pear, and apple fruit notes in this wine.


2009 Coro Mendocino $37.00 – This Coro is marked by a bright rich cherry
note - Soft, drinkable, approachable red blend made from our famously fast
selling 2009 old vine Zinfandel grapes. Lovely cherry noted wine changes
flavors like a chameleon when paired with different foods. Amazing balance
and restraint mark this memorable McFadden Coro offering. 65% Zinfandel,
20% Syrah, and 15% Petite Sirah; with 14.5% alc. Limited Production.

2011 Coro Mendocino $37.00 – This is the fastest selling of our three
available Coro wines. McFadden-esque bright sweet tart candy fruit, and
fun friendly low alcohol makes this yet another food friendly, easy to
enjoy McFadden Coro. Like so many of our wines, this is a food chameleon,
this wine goes with everything. 50% Zinfandel, 35% Syrah, 15% Petite
Sirah; with 13.5% alc. Limited Production. Made with organically grown

2012 Pinot Noir $24.00 – We only make great Pinot Noir, selling grapes
from the “good” vintages to other wineries while saving the grapes from
great vintages for ourselves, so there hasn’t been a McFadden Pinot Noir
produced since the 2007 vintage. 2012 was a great vintage and you can
taste it in this Pinot Noir. Soft, approachable, incredibly easy to drink,
and fantastic when pairing with foods at the table, this Pinot Noir shows
soft cherry notes from the nose to the mouth and on to the finish in a
demonstration of integration. Along the way, you’ll pick up loamy earth
forest, mushroom, and herbal undertones. Just released, this wine is
drinking beautifully, but will get better and better with time. Pair with
a mushroom risotto and experience Heaven on earth. Wine Club Exclusive

2012 Old Vine Zinfandel $24.00 – Brambly raspberry and cherry fruit with
herb and a tickle of black pepper give way to sweet tart candy fruit on
the finish. This is another remarkable low alcohol (13.5%) McFadden
Zinfandel with lots of finesse, and acid to balance the flavors, with a
jaw dropping propensity for food pairing.


NV (2010) Reserve Sparkling Cuvée Brut (50% Chardonnay, 50% Pinot Noir)
$40.00 – Just days shy of three full years en tirage – time spent on yeast
and lees before disgorgement, this is the richest, roundest, yeastiest
brioche bread and apple & grapefruit noted bubbly we’ve made. Judged the
best Sparkling Wine in California, this is the 2014 California State
Fair’s Best of Show winner; Double Gold Medals from the 2014 San Francisco
Chronicle Wine Competition and the 2014 Mendocino County Fair Wine
Competition as well! ! Wine Club Exclusive.

NV Sparkling Cuvée Brut Rosé (45.5% Chardonnay, 54.5% Pinot Noir) $32.00 –
To make a rosé sparkling wine, finished Pinot Noir is blended into a
standard Brut, usually 4-7%. McFadden’s lighter style wine allowed a full
10% still Pinot Noir to be blended into our first ever Brut Rosé and the
result is a wine everyone at McFadden considers superior to our own “Best
in California” sparkling wine. Gold Medals at the 2014 Grand Harvest
Awards and the 2014 Mendocino County Fair wine Competition, as well as the
Double Gold Medal from the 2015 San Francisco Chronicle Wine Competition,
this wine shows amazing depth of flavor with cherry, strawberry,
cranberry, apple, citrus, brioche, walnut, and more. Spectacular
integration, and a library of flavors, this is a rare delight. Wine Club
