Bott-Geyl is a small domaine, only 14 hectares, including 6 Grands Crus (Sonnenglanz, Schoenenbourg, Schlossberg, Mandelberg, Furstentum, Sporen) and 4 Lieux-Dits (Burgreben, Grafenreben, Kronenbourg, Schloesselreben).
Jean-Christophe Bott, the winemaker, whose family tradition dates back to 1695, has been running the domaine for 20 years, managing both the vineyard and vinification in a traditional and natural way. Today, the domaine is almost totally converted to organic and biodynamic methods.
The search for authentic does not follow fashion. Jean-Christophe believes in perpetuating the vineyard posperity and interfering as little as possible in the transition from grape juice to wine.
His minimalist work has paid off in wines known for purity, complexity and faithful interpretation of characteristics from the terroir.
