Today, the Argiano estate develops around the nucleus of buildings, extending across an area of about 125 hectares, occupied by vineyards, olive groves and woods.

Access to the estate is via roads marked by traces of flavors and dusts that date back centuries and which intersect unique atmospheres and panoramas: the tranquility of the countryside, with its characteristically slow pace, wide open spaces, ever-changing seasons and alternating colors, while every man carries out his daily work with the utmost respect for the environment and for the elements of the landscape.

At Argiano there is a word that we use more than every other to describe the philosophy that unites us: respect.

Respect for nature, which has given us a treasure of inestimable value, to which we dedicate every care and attention: this is why we apply the most effective and modern working methods, while remembering that every technique has to have the least possible impact on health and on the surrounding environment.

Respect for tradition, five centuries of history which have made Argiano great, a wealth of wisdom and experience that we proudly boast today and which we want to protect and hand down to those who succeed us.

It is only by respecting nature and tradition in our everyday work that our wine can fully interpret this wonderful land.

About The Wines

Brunello di Montalcino DOCG
Brunello, intense and elegant; Rosso, fresh and lively; Suolo, complex and rich in tannins; Solengo, potent but perfectly balanced; Non Confunditur, with its smooth structure and pleasant taste. With their unmistakable characteristics, Argiano wines are the product of our vineyards, of the skill and passion that we devote to our work, of tradition and research applied to the selection of the grapes and ageing in wood.
Our aim is to fully exploit the gifts of this land, to turn every vine into a great bottle of wine.

Rosso di Montalcino DOC
Rosso di Montalcino, made with 100% Sangiovese grapes like Brunello, is another expression of the tradition and terroir of Montalcino.Argiano’sRosso di Montalcino has a noble pedigree and is produced with the grapes grown in the Sangiovesevineyards that extend around the estate. The grape-variety is SangioveseGrosso, a selected clone which has adapted perfectly to the soil at Argiano; this wine receives the same care and attention devoted to our Brunello, from vineyard management to bottling.

Suolo IGT
Produced for the first time in in 2000 this wine is the finest expression of Argiano’s great terroir. Suolo is made with 100% Sangiovese grapes grown in the estate’s oldest vineyards. The name, Suolo, is a tribute to the ground that hosts the vines (“suolo” being the Italian word for ground) and which conveys great complexity to them.

Solengo IGT
This outstanding red wine is a quite recent expression of Argiano’s viticultural potential in relation to red wines made with Sangiovese. ‘Solengo’, which is Tuscan for “lone wild boar”, is the product of the combination between Tuscan soil and French grape-varieties: Cabernet Sauvignon, Petit Verdot, Merlot and Syrah. It is the fruit of the “creation” of the internationally acclaimed former oenologist GiacomoTachis, which now continues with the work of Argiano’s team.

‘Non Confunditur’ is a Latin term that means unique, unmistakable. We christened this wine Non Confunditur as a tribute to Argiano’s prestigious and glorious past. Non Confunditur is the product of the unique combination of Tuscan and French grapes. Since 2002, NC has earned its place alongside the finest Tuscan blends.
