TR Wines is a family of wineries owned by Mike Tembreull and Doug Roskelley. TERO Estates is the winery they founded in 2007. In 2010 Flying Trout Wines was acquired and in 2013 Waters Winery and 21 Grams were added.
Ashley Trout is the winemaker for Flying Trout specializing in Malbec and Malbec blends. Flying Trout began in 2004 with a goal of producing Malbec from grapes sourced from many different AVA’s in order to best show the unique characteristics of each terroir. The Flying Trout brand also includes a Torrontes that Ashley makes in Mendoza, Argentina.
Winemaker Jamie Brown brings a deft touch to the Syrahs of Waters Winery and works his charm on the iconic 21 Grams. Founded in 2005, Waters’ unique single vineyard Syrahs are a testament to Jamie’s appreciation for the unique expressions each vineyard and vintage bestows. Waters wines are currently being distributed nationally.
From peppery malbecs out of Walla Walla to the more feminine and fruit forward styles of malbecs often reminiscent of Mendoza, Flying Trout Wines aims to bring you a little bit of the best of the world and nothing else.
At Waters Winery we believe that the Walla Walla Valley terroir is capable of producing distinctive red wines that rival the finest of the Old and New World regions. Waters produces just a few thousand cases of small-lot bottlings each year.
